Dave's year in movies

My co-host and blogger John of John and Dave's Pop Culture America, heard every week on Blogtalk radio on Saturday (Its the big buzz on the Net, Yvette) posted the top money makers of 2007.. Lets see which ones I have seen.. and why..

2007's biggest films based on box office performance (source: boxofficemojo.com) are:


1. Spider-Man 3 $336.5- Yep (Sucked)

2. Shrek the Third $322.7 Yep (Snorer)

3. Transformers $319.2 Yep (It was OK)

4. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End $309.4 Nope-(Second one was a snorer)

5. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix $292- Yep- (Pedestrian)

6. The Bourne Ultimatum $227.4- Yep (Great)

7. 300 $210.6- Nope (Not my cup of tea)
8. I Am Legend $209.5 Nope (Some people told me the ending)
9. Ratatouille $206.4- Yep (Loved it)

10. The Simpsons Movie $183.1- Yep (Better in the theatres then on DVD, but still f****** Funny)

11. Wild Hogs $168.2- Yep- (It was OK- Nice to see these 4 in a hit movie besides Big Momma's House 3 or Santa Clause 4- In Search of Judge Rheinhold)

12. Alvin and the Chipmunks $157.5- Yep-(It was OK- definately for kids)

13. Knocked Up $148.8- *Yep (Funny and Sweet)

14. National Treasure: Book of Secrets $147.2 Nope-(But there is still time for that Goofy cartoon)
15. Rush Hour 3 $140.1- Nope (Did we need this sequal)
16. Live Free or Die Hard $134.5 *Yep (Pretty good but lame villian and ending)

17. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer $131.9- Yep (I like this series- I hope there is a Three with The Sub Mariner)

18. American Gangster $129.2- Yep (It was good- Its natural Oscar bait)

19. Bee Movie $124.6- Yep (Funny but too clever, but nice to see Matthew Broderick in a hit after "Deck the Halls)

20. Superbad $121.5 Nope (But will see it on video)

I cant wait for Jumper from the Bourne Identity and Mr and Mrs Smith team and Hulk and Iron man from the Marvel camp.. Go Go 2008
