John might as well write the review now..

I found this on the wire..

A&E ordered its first original scripted drama series in more than six years with Cleaner starring Benjamin Bratt. Beginning production soon, Cleaner is set to debut this summer. Bratt will star as William "The Cleaner" Banks, who after hitting rock bottom during the birth of his twins, makes a deal with God to control his addictions and dedicate his life to help others. The series is produced by CBS Paramount Network Television. Concurrently, A&E is proceeding with the development of additional scripted dramas.

John.. here is a show about someone who talks to God and wants to make amends or at least tries to make amends.. Look at me..I'm Johnny Pop Culture..

"Another piece of new age crap.. blah blah blah.. It makes Eli Stone" look like Barnaby Jones.. Blah Blah Blah.. I don't even know why I mentioned Barnaby Jones.. Blah Blah Blah.. Oh look, its Buddy Ebson.. Blah Blah Blah.. let go of the skepticism, John and you will enjoy Eli Stone and that Jeff Goldblum piece of crap of a few years back.. Enjoy the whimsy as Yuppies get a life changing event and look to a higher power.. I like Pushing Daisy's, as you do too, but if they ever brought up that the power to bring people back from the dead came from a mutant gene, you would lose the respect for the show..

I wouldn't mind a Bruce Almighty or Evan Almighty TV spin off.. but he would have to have a logical explanation as to why The almighty would pick him.. How about "Johnnie Almighty" and instead of Morgan Freeman.. we get Buddy Ebson (Just to bring it back to Barnaby Jones) Well, I will always have a soft spot for the show where the lead character starts out as a cold yuppie type and sees that there is more to life then his career, even if it takes a health scare or worse, a question of faith.. "Cause as the great George Michael says.. Now that we're friends
Every man's got his patience
And here's where mine ends

I want your sex

Exactly..
